Feasibility of video call-based physiotherapy through Diabefly digital therapeutics program: Analysis of physical fitness and musculoskeletal pain in people with diabetes

Detailed analysis of factors like an individual's physical activity status and presence of musculoskeletal pain enables the creation of a personalized exercise plan. A fitness assessment was performed in 160 patients and 69% among them were exercisers while 31% were non-exercisers. Among exercisers 83.8% achieved poor fitness scores and 16.2% showed excellent scores. Similarly, among non-exercisers 87.8% achieved a poor fitness score and 12.2% had excellent scores. The analysis of strength test scores among patients having upper, lower, and spinal pain showed lower strength in those respective areas along with poor flexibility in patients with lower and spinal pain. Hence this study showed the feasibility of video call-based analysis of physical activity status thus leading to generation of a personalized exercise plan for people with T2D
