It could be because they are not getting enough quantity and quality of food to meet their growing nutritional demand.

More than 60% of children had a deficiency of micronutrients particularly of Vitamin D, Omega 3, Vitamin B12, Potassium and many more. This can severely affect their growth, brain development and can lower their immunity.

Results showed a substantial deficiency of macronutrients, with 90% of children having a shortfall of carbohydrates.

Wasn’t this an eye-opener? It’s high time to step back and rethink if your child’s nutritional needs are met or not in his or her growing years.

To begin with, start maintaining your child’s food diary to get a clear picture of the different food groups consumed daily, to avoid mindless eating, to assess the nutrient intake and lastly to be accountable to every bit of the food that goes into the mouth! Click here to read about the benefits of maintaining a food diary for your kids

Empower your children with the right nutrition in their early years to help them reach their goals.
