Soya Lolipop With Green Tomato Chutney

INGREDIENTS: FOR LOLIPOPS

  1. 250gms boiled potatoes (3 – 4 medium sized)
  2. 1no onion finely chopped
  3. ½ cup soya chunks / soya granules
  4. ½ cup finely chopped vegetables (sweet corn, carrots, French beans & green peas)
  5. 3 – 4 coriander strands
  6. 2no green chilies
  7. 1tsp red chili powder
  8. 1tsp dry mango powder
  9. ½ cup bread crumbs
  10. ½ cup gram flour and rice flour
  11. 7 – 8 soup sticks
  12. Salt as per taste
  13. Oil for frying

FOR CHUTNEY

  1. ½ cup coriander
  2. ¼ cup mint chutney
  3. ½ tsp garlic paste
  4. Pinch cumin seeds
  5. 2 – 3 lemon drops
  6. 1no green chili
  7. Salt as per taste
  8. 2 – 3tbsp tomato ketchup

METHOD: FOR LOLLIPOPS

  1. Mashed boiled potatoes in a big bowl. Now add all the vegetables, soya chunks and species to it. Mix well.
  2. Make a thick batter from gram flour and rice flour. Add salt and red chili powder to it.
  3. Make medium sized balls from the mixture and insert to soup stick.
  4. Dip lollies in the batter, roll in the dry bread crumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry lollipops till they turn golden brown.
  6. When done, strain oil and put them over absorbent tissue.
  7. Serve hot with green tomato chutney.

FOR CHUTNEY

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a mixer, except tomato ketchup.
  2. Put the chutney in a bowl, mix it with tomato ketchup.
